The MBRRACE-UK collaboration
MBRRACE-UK is a collaboration led from the National Perinatal Epidemiology Unit (NPEU) at the University of Oxford by Professor Marian Knight. Professor Bradley Manktelow at the University of Leicester leads the perinatal aspects of the programme.
The MBRRACE-UK collaboration consists of researchers, healthcare professionals, administrative staff and representatives from professional organisations who provide data and review deaths in the UK and Ireland. MBRRACE-UK also works alongside third sector (voluntary) and professional stakeholder groups to ensure that the lessons learned and recommendations made are appropriate and accessible to women, their families and policy makers. It is through this collaborative effort that MBRRACE-UK is able to conduct its programme of work to improve care for women, babies and their families.
