2024 Survey

You and Your Baby 2024 explores the maternity care, health and wellbeing of women who gave birth in England in May 2024. This is the first national maternity survey we have run since the Covid-19 pandemic.

A total of 16,000 women have been selected at random from the register of all births in England through the Office for National Statistics. These women are being invited to take part in You and Your Baby 2024 around six months after giving birth and will receive their invitation through the post.

You and Your Baby 2024 asks women about their health and wellbeing, with a particular focus on their mental health around the time of pregnancy and childbirth. The survey also asks about infant feeding, lifestyle, and maternity care.

A report of all the findings from You and Your Baby 2024 and infographic summaries of the key findings will be available to download here in 2025.
